Mariana Tiago had her first contact with the artistic world, which she fell in love with, at the age of 8, when she started attending classical and jazz dance classes. She completed the Articulated Dance Course at Lugar Presente Dance School and the Artistic Specialized High School Course in Dance at the same institution (she completed the 11th grade at Ginasiano Dance School).
She was an intern at Teatro Viriato (Viseu), accompanying the entire dance showcase 'New Age. New Time' (2019) as an assistant producer; also as an assistant, she did an internship in the Five Days to Dance project, within the context of the Erasmus + program, in Valencia and Viseu; and she performed in work ENDLESS by Companhia Dançando com a Diferença.
She took another internship, this one with a more analytical approach, watching the rehearsals of the piece Madrugada by Victor Hugo Pontes, at the National Ballet of Portugal (CNB). Also as an intern, she accompanied Um encontro provocado, by Henrique Rodovalho, within Paulo Ribeiro Company (CPR), and took part in the project P.E.D.R.A, by Francisco Camacho.
In 2019, she participated in the 1st edition of the Paulo Ribeiro Company's Young Dancers Project, with António Cabrita and São Castro, and a year later she performed in the piece Andantes Moderatos, by São Castro. In 2021, she was a performer in Concret Love, by choreographers Henriett Ventura and Xavier Carmo.
Mariana Tiago performed in the piece BISONTE: ReStage, by Marco da Silva Ferreira, presented in Lisbon and Paris in the context of the Saison Croisée Portugal France 2022. Also in 2022, she finished her degree in Dance at Escola Superior de Dança.
