Performer & Chorographer
Artist working with languages that intercept image, movement, voice, scenography and light, approaching the body as a vessel for the transformation and mediation of hypnagogic states, as well as for the gestures and procedures of the visceral conscience of the present.
Among others Miranda has presented the dance pieces CABRAQIMERA, DREAM IS THE DREAMER, BOCA MURALHA and MAZEZAM at Centre Pompidou (Paris/ FR), Palais de Tokyo (Paris/ FR), Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon/PT), Serralves Museum (Porto/PT), National Theatre (Porto, Pt), Festival Materiais Diversos (PT), Festival DDD (Pt), Festival Pays de Danses (Liège, Be), Festival Mindelact (Cape Verde), Festival Short Theatre (Rome/IT).
Furthermore, Miranda has presented the visual installations POROMECHANICS at Centre Pompidou (Paris/ FR), and Municipal Theatre Porto/ Maus Hábitos (Porto/PT), DIAGONAL ANIMAL at Fabrik Festival (Fall River/ USA) and MOUNTAIN MOUTH at Dance Box and Maizuru RB (Kobe/ Maizuru/ Jp).
She has finished the Master EXERCE at ICI-CCN Montpellier/FR and the BA in Visual Arts at the Porto’s Fine Arts University/ Pt. She has studied Noh Theatre at Kyoto Art Center/ Jp.
