Cláudia Galhós is a journalist and writer. She writes about performing arts for the weekly newspaper Expresso since 2005. She was editor of the weekly supplement "Artes de Palco", of the Magazine program, on channel 2 of RTP (from 2004 to 2006) and also of the weekly cultural magazine about culture "AGORA". Since 1994, she has worked and collaborated with several newspapers, websites, radio stations and magazines in Portugal and abroad.
She is the author of the fiction books Sensualistas (2001), Conto de Verão (2002) and O Tempo das Cerejas (2007), and of books on dance and/or arts: Corpo de Cordas - 10 anos de Companhia Paulo Ribeiro (2006), Pina Bausch - Sentir Mais (2010); 15 anos do Espaço do Tempo (2016). She was editor and author of the book There is nothing that is beyond your imagination (2015), as part of the European network "Imagine 2020 - Art and Climate Change", which brings together 10 European theaters, led by Kaaitheater in Brussels. In 2021, she published Colher para Semear - 25 anos da GDA e 10 anos da Fundação GDA.
She has several short stories published in anthologies in Portugal and abroad, and texts on theater and dance in foreign publications, some presented at international conferences or as part of training sessions and seminars dedicated to writing about performing arts.
She has documented several projects, such as seminars, festivals and artistic experimenting and residency programs. For example, she documented Colina - Collaboration In Arts, by Portuguese choreographer Rui Horta (2003-2004), TryAngle - Performing Arts Research Laboratories (2012) and MOV-S (2007-2011). Between 2005 and 2006, she was also a consultant for rede Íris (network of artistic programmers from Italy, France, Spain and Portugal).
In 2022, she won the 7th edition of the Literary Residency Prize in Berlin (promoted by the Portuguese Embassy in Germany / Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Berlin).
