AboutEVC

Estúdios Victor Córdon (EVC) are a creative platform belonging to OPART, whose mission is to support the independent artistic community. Their programming aims to give voice to the needs of creators and performers, namely in the recognition and transmission of their speeches, their thoughts on artistic creation and their impact on social reality. Promoting different visions, the EVC see the routes of the Portuguese language as places of encounter, and reflects on the role of artistic creation in the process of bringing cultures together, through dialogue with migrant communities living in Portugal, especially those of African descent, highlighting the importance of their presence in cultural institutions and society in general. The EVC provide creative support to artists, festivals and educational institutions, with a special focus on supporting young performers and creators at the start of their careers.

Alongside the relevance and effectiveness of the proposed programs, and for the benefit of the independent artistic community, it is also our goal to make each person feel at home. From within that home, people give input, the EVC becoming, more and more, a place by all for all.
