Playwright, writer and stage director

Gustavo Colombini (São Paulo, 1990) is a playwright, writer, and stage director. A graduate of Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP), he took a master’s degree in Theater Studies at Faculdade de Letras — Universidade de Lisboa. His relationship with research and playwriting emerged early in his artistic career, leading to several publications and professional distinctions, such as Colônia, published by GLAC Edições and nominated for the APCA São Paulo award, and O silêncio depois da chuva, published by SESI-SP Editora and nominated for the Shell Award. Since 2023, he has coordinated and written for the art magazine Esse texto, alongside playwright Diogo Liberano. He is also an associate editor at Espaço.CC, responsible for editing books and catalogs for various cultural institutions, including Pinacoteca de São Paulo, Galeria Almeida & Dale, Galeria Martins&Montero, and the Center for Theatre Studies at Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, among others. He has also conducted workshops and courses on playwriting and experimental writing in various cultural spaces across Brazil, as well as in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Portugal.
