Dancer & Choreographer
Graduated from Escola Domus Dança (Porto), she started her career at Companhia Instável, in 2019, performing in a piece by Willi Dorner. She trained at the Ballet Koblenz, directed by Steffen Fuchs. In 2020, she joined the cast of the Portuguese Contemporary Ballet Company (CPBC), directed by Vasco Wellenkamp, and the COMPOTA project, directed by Paula Pinto.
Her first choreographic experience was the piece Só sei que nada sei (2017) presented at Festival M.A.R. Since 2020, in parallel with her work as a performer, Beatriz Mir began to develop more deeply her creative side in dance, starting a partnership with Tiago Barreiros. Currently, she is taking a Master in Choreographic Work at Escola Superior de Dança (Lisbon).
In September 2023, she premiered a one-night piece, co-created and co-interpreted by Miguel Santos, entitled Atopos. The work premiered at FIDANC - International Festival of Contemporary Dance, and won Gerador's National Young Creators Award.
