Diego Bragà / DIDIRELLA (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) is a transfeminine artist whose work spans queer operas, visceral films, and the invention of beautiful collective futures. A fan of Lygia Clark, Marta Neves, Yoko Ono, and Paula Rego, she went to London at the invitation of Thomas Prattki, graduating from London International School of Performing Arts. She had wonderful teachers, among them Acely Hovelacque, Thomas Prattki, Amy Russell, Denise Pedron, Fernando Limoeiro, Marina Abramović, Meg Stuart, Thomas Ostermeier, Céline Sciamma, Lucretia Martel, and Susana de Sousa Dias.
In 2024, she participated in Common Lab, where she made friends for life. She worked as an actress at École des Maîtres under the direction of Tiago Rodrigues and she joined the PACAP program at Forum Dança, curated by Vânia Rovisco. She also collaborated with Grupo Galpão (Brazil) and Colectivo 84 (Portugal).
In 2023, she released the controversial and cancellable musical manifesto SUPERPUTA SPIRITUAL—a 100% transmade work. Her film Think About the Beautiful Future Ahead, created in the solitude of her room, is included in the permanent collection of The New York Times and has earned her a fellowship from Sundance Institute.
In Brazil, while still very young, she founded MADAME TEATRO and was distinguished with such prizes as CenaEspetáculo, CenaMinas (awarded by the Government of Minas Gerais), and CulturaCopa (MinC). She was named Brekathrough Artist by the magazine Encontro in the same year that President Dilma Rousseff was chosen as Politician of the Year. Chic!
