Beatriz Garrucho is a multidisciplinary artist working in the performing arts and is based in Lisbon.

As a child, she lived in a small village in central Portugal called Ermida, and at the age of 14 she went to study Visual Arts at the José Estêvão High School in Aveiro. It was then that she began her practice in theater, taking part in Teresa Grancho’s theater workshops (Experimental Theater Group of the University of Aveiro).

In 2012, she enrolled in an Audiovisuals and Multimedia undergraduate course at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social in Lisbon. In 2013, she worked as a performer and producer in GTN – Grupo de Teatro da Nova, which at the time was directed by Marina Albuquerque. In 2016, she joined the ACT - Escola de Atores course, where she had the pleasure of having instructors such as: Beatriz Batarda, Elsa Valentim, João Canijo, John Mowat, Miguel Seabra, Leonard Petit, Sara Vaz, among others. To date, she has participated in workshops taught by Elisabete Francisca, Miguel Moreira, Miguel Bonneville and Mónica Calle.

In 2021, she presented her first piece, entitled O Laranjal (Rua das Gaivotas 6, Lisbon), and in 2022, she premiered her second work, ÁGUASMIL, also presented at Rua das Gaivotas 6.

As a performer, she has worked on productions directed by Ana Borralho and João Galante, Filipa Matta, Rui Catalão, Diogo Freitas, Luísa Mota, Roxana Ionesco, among others.

On the screen, she participated in A SÉRIE, a television series directed by Bruno Pinhal, Nuno Dias and Sérgio Henriques, for RTP Play (2021). In cinema, she was part of the cast of SÉFORA (2021), a feature film by Leonardo Mouramateus, and A CROMA (2022), a short film by Pedro Huet.
