Lewis Seivwright was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and graduated with honors from the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (London, 2013). He worked for the dance company tanzmainz (Germany) between 2013 and 2016.
Since 2016, as a freelance dancer, he has worked with Club Guy and Roni (Netherlands) in Mechanical Ecstasy, Conference of the Birds, and Tetris Mon Amour.
He has been based in Lisbon since 2019, where he has collaborated with Jonas & Lander (Portugal) in the pieces Adorabilis, Lento e Largo, Regaste, and Bate Fado. Later, he was invited to work with Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz (Portugal) in Sons Misteriosos and Ruído, as well as with Boris Charmatz ([terrain], Lisbon). Further collaborations include those with Catarina Miranda (Portugal) in CabraQuimera and Atsumori, with Mala Voadora (Portugal) in Cornucópia, and with Gustavo Ciríaco in Amanhãs de Ontem.
As a creator, he premiered Panda Express in 2022, in collaboration with Joana Mário.
In 2022, he participated in Lander Patrick’s research for Sovaco de Cobra, created for the Norwegian dance company Carte Blanche. In 2024, he supported the creation of Pink Fraud for tanzmainz, and he will be featured in Lander Patrick’s new creation, Wonderlandi.
