Ana Dinger would rather not define what she does, but she has studied dance and visual arts, as well as art history and theory. From early on she felt uncomfortable with categories, oscillating between theory and practice and often undermining disciplinary constraints. Her academic trajectory includes ESD, FBAUP, FBAUL (graduation in Sculpture) and UCP (post-graduation in Contemporary Art and Phd in Cultures Studies). She writes about visual and performative arts, about archives, bodies and body-archives, about modes of continuation of performance-based artworks, about ghosts as metonymic manifestations. Researcher affiliated with AND Lab since 2015, she has since followed schools and labs and collaborated (more intensely between 2015 and 2019) in the process of continuous reformulation of Modus Operandi AND. She co-curated, with Fernanda Eugenio, the project "Of the Irreparable: what can an ethics of reparation do?" (2018-2019), in the scope of which, among other events and activities, she contributed to the organization and editorial coordination and conception of the Book-Box AND. Both also collaborate in the Metalogue Series since 2015, a series of conversations that inhabit a different question at each edition and materialize in forms as diverse as a PowerPoint slide battle, an article rehearsed live, a talk without talking, a game of cards, a task-oriented performance in a garden or an epistolary relationship between the past and future.
