Leonardo Calvino is self-taught by nature and has had a multidisciplinary path, passing through martial arts, music, comic strip script, circus, magic and currently dedicates himself to dance as a research territory. In 2020 he took the FAICC (Advanced Training in Interpretation and Choreographic Creation) of the Instable Company. That same year he was invited to create in Percursos, where the work Prólogo dos Marinheiros was born. As a creator, highlights include the works Cegos do Castelo (Porto, 2019), his short solo Meeting the Unknown (Lousada, 2019), the sound immersion As Águas (Castro Daire, 2019) and Navio Canção (São Paulo, 2018). In 2021, he premieres Inercia, a full-length work, where he directs and performs, with support from AgitLab, Armazém22 and premiering at the Súbito Festival. His most recent creation Apneia, co-created with Joana Couto, has national and international support and is scheduled to premiere in 2022 at the Ciclo Palcos Instáveis, a collaboration of Companhia Instável with Teatro Municipal do Porto. Since 2019 she has also worked with dramaturgy, light design and creative accompaniment, highlighting her work in the works If only this was about food and Sinto Muito, by Joana Couto, and Metamorphosis_ by Catarina Feijão. In 2021 he is invited by Kale Dance Company to participate in the inclusive project Peixe Dança under the direction of Aldara Bizarro. At the moment he is performing the PULSO training of the Instável Company.
