Performer & Creator
Miguel Ferrão Lopes defines himself as a creator and performer. With a degree in Visual Culture and Photography (IADE, Lisbon), he explores in between performance his relationship with the body-matter and the body-memory, placing it in the sphere of the intimate, tension and transgression and composing narratives that cross the concrete and the abstract. In 2018 he starts theatre training at Chapitô and since then he attends dance and theatre classes and workshops.
He is selected for the Advanced Programme of Creation in Performing Arts 3 (Forum Dança, Lisbon), curated by Vânia Rovisco, where he presents different performative researches. He premieres the performance "We Might Look for New Lovers" (2019) at the Gaivotas em Marvila festival (Lisbon) and presents the performative installation "Eres victima de tu propio invento: una cercanía a nuestra intimidad" (2021), at the Fuori Visioni 6 Festival (Italy). She is the interpreter of Ana Borralho & João Galante in "Sexy M/F", in "Burn Time" by André Uerba and in "O Escuro que te Ilumina ou As Últimas Sete Palavras de Cristo" by Mónica Calle.
