Lisbon, 1965.

She was born in Lisbon and lives in Alfafar. She is a dancer, choreographer, costume designer and visual artist. She studied Design at the New York Academy of Arts and has a post-graduate degree in Stage Design from ESTC. She studied Dance at the Ballet Gulbenkian Professional School and in New York at the Peridance School. She danced with Meg Stuart, Francisco Camacho and Joana Providência. Her work as a choreographer is multidisciplinary, combining drawing and video with performance. Among her works, the following stand out: notforgetnotforgive (1999); Monster (Eira, 2009); The importance of nothing (Pogo Teatro, TMM, 2012); Ro.Ger (Temps d'Images, MalaVoadora, 2014); 50 Toneladas (Gaivotas6, Temps d'Images, 2015, DGArtes); Jungle Red (DDD Festival, Bons Sons, TDI, DGArtes, GDA, 2018); MINA (GDA, DGArtes, ORG.I:A, Alkantara, Cumplicidades, S.Luiz, 2020, 2021); and Silvestre (O Lugar do Meio, GDA, Garantir Cultura, 2022).

She works in scientific illustration of birds. She has exhibited her works as part of the cycle “Bailarinos e coreógrafos que desenham e pintam” [“Dancers and choreographers who draw and paint”], curated by Miguel Moreira (CAAA, Guimarães, 2021), and the work am.or (Galeria da Boavista, 2024, Lisbon). She has made illustrations and photographed for O Livro das Coisas Breves by FS Hill (Medula, 2015) and for the issues “Boca”, “Bowie” and “Fome” of the Flanzine fanzine. In 2016, she presented her video creation self-portrait on the train as part of the cycle “Untested Solitude” in the VAFA Festival in Macau. She is currently taking the Free Course in Nature Drawing and Scientific Illustration under Pedro Salgado.

In 2022, she founded O Lugar do Meio, a cultural and environmental association where she runs a transdisciplinary artistic program.
