Catarina Câmara moves between artistic practices, education, and social and community mediation. She has a degree in law from Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa and another in dance from Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa, having complemented her training in performing arts at c.e.m. (centro em movimento), Fórum Dança and the choreographic center La Raffinerie - Charleroi Danse (Brussels). She took a course in Gestalt psychotherapy at Sociedade Luso-Espanhola de Psicoterapia Gestalt, in Lisbon.

As a performer, she has been collaborating with Companhia Olga Roriz since 2003. She teaches dance/movement to dance and theater professionals and to the general public. She has worked several times as movement assistant for theater and dance pieces, namely in plays by Ushia Vaello, Cristina Carvalhal, Rogério de Carvalho, Claudio Hochman, among others. She is author of the following artistic works: De Duas Um, along with Maria Belo Costa (2005), Rosa de Papel, with Luiz Antunes (2006), A Cabra Sou Eu (2009), Amora, with Félix Lozano (2011), _Parábolas Para Quê? _(2018), Príncipes, Heroínas, Amores Impossíveis e _Outras Assombrações _(CNB, 2017) - the latter two aimed at children and young people. She has also participated in different multidisciplinary projects, with Direção-Geral da Educação, the Aga Khan Foundation, the National Ballet Company (in the context of Projetos de Aproximação à Dança), Teatro Ibsen, Escola Luís António Verney, and Companhia Paulo Ribeiro, among others.

Since 2019, Catarina Câmara is the artistic and social coordinator of _CORPO EM CADEIA _(a PARTIS initiative - Artistic Practices for Social Inclusion), supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
