Kimberley Ribeiro attended the Boston Conservatory of Fine Arts, Massassuchets, obtaining a diploma in dance and theater.
She was one of the founders of the Boston Dance Theater Company, participating in shows presented in Spain, Lausanne and Lisbon. After the shows in Lisbon, she decided to move to Portugal and signed a contract with Verde Gaio Dance Company. Later she moved to Companhia Nacional de Bailado (CNB; National Ballet of Portugal). Parallel to her career as a dancer, she was invited to take on the positions of rehearsal coach and assistant to Armando Jorge, at the CNB. At 57, she retired as a dancer from the CNB and at 58 was invited by Luísa Taveira and Tiago Rodrigues to join Companhia Maior, where she continues to work today.
She is also part of As nossas Danças (stylized folklore), a project that brings together former Gulbenkian and CNB dancers to create performances that combine music, song and dance.
