Bárbara is a dance and performance artist. She participated in PACAP 5 at Forum Dança, in Lisbon, a creation program curated by João Fiadeiro, Márcia Lança, Carolina Campos, and Daniel Pizamiglio, and she trained at Companhia Olga Roriz’s FOR Dance Theater. She studied Production both at Forum Dança (CGPAE — Performing Arts Management/Production Course) and at Instável — Centro Coreográfico. She collaborated with artist Nicole Gomes in the creation of Cinza (2023), and is currently collaborating with artist Roberto Dagô in Oceanos Minúsculos, a research project. She participated in O que fazer daqui para trás? (versão expandida) (2024) at INTROSPECTIVA, a retrospective of choreographer João Fiadeiro’s work, at MAC/CCB. Since 2022, she has been working with Francisco Thiago Cavalcanti and the collective um cavalo disse mamãe. In her research, she is interested in exploring imagination as a potential semantic field within everyday life.
