Rui Torrinha is the artistic director of Centro Cultural Vila Flor (CCVF) run by A Oficina, a cultural institution based in Guimarães City also managing CIAJG (contemporary museum) and Casa da Memória. He directs EU projects and international networks, the coproduction scheme and the artistic residencies plan taking place at Centro de Criação de Candoso (CCC). He’s the festival director of GUIdance, Westway Lab, Gil Vicente, Manta and the Circus Arts Weekeend, covering different arts such as contemporary dance, music, theatre and contemporary circus plus CCVF’s intense regular programming throughout the entire year. He was part of the programming team at Guimarães 2012, European Capital of Culture.
