Artist Residencies 2022Artist Residencies 2023

With the aim of supporting independent artistic creation, this program welcomes creators in the field of dance and other areas of artistic intersection, at national and international level, for a maximum period of two weeks.

Applications are accepted continuously and residencies are scheduled in our calendar on a first-come, first-served basis. Since their beginnings, the EVC have been a space where multiple languages coexist, responding in direct proportion to the needs of the artistic community.

A series of ten conversations led by Cristina Peres and directed by João Afonso Vaz, in a collaboration between the EVC and Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo.

The cycle A Collection for Tomorrow, curated by Cristina Peres and directed by João Afonso Vaz, is composed of 10 conversations about the dance scene in Portugal. These were aired on EVC's Youtube channel throughout 2021.

A Collection for Tomorrow ⏤ À la Minute→

Cristina Peres collects short statements by international choreographers on fundamental questions about the state of the world, such as xenophobia, war, climate change or economy.

A Collection for Tomorrow ⏤ Atlantic Axis→

A series of conversations guided by Cristina Peres and directed by João Afonso Vaz, broadcasted on EVC's Youtube channel, dedicated to artists from Angola, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe. The series, which began in 2023, moves into the new season with the release of six new episodes.
