Proposed by Plano Nacional das Artes (the National Plan for the Arts, PNA), this year’s edition of the Artist-in-Residence Project is once again co-organized by the EVC. Together, these partners will bring to two public schools in Lisbon two young choreographers, Joana Franco and Maria Abrantes. Over the course of three months, the choreographers will develop projects within the school community, giving students the possibility to experience the creative look from the world of dance. Filmmaker Alexia Fernandes will be accompanying the initiative, creating a film based on the program’s activities.
