Classes

We offer two types of class:

  • Daily Practice for professional dancers or those in the process of becoming professional dancers;
  • Dance Classes for Adults, designed for beginners or for those who have a previous connection to classical dance.

Our daily practice classes are designed for professional dancers or those in the process of becoming professional dancers; prior knowledge and experience of the classical and contemporary dance vocabulary is therefore expected.

No level of experience is required to participate in the Classical Dance Classes for Adults. The difficulty is adapted to each group of participants, with two levels available: Beginner (Mondays) and Continuing (Wednesday).

We do not accept reservations for classes. Entries are accepted in order of arrival.

For the Classical Dance Classes for Adults, participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for correct posture. Classical dance shoes should be worn as well, as they make it easier to perform the movements.

We recommend that participants arrive 15 minutes in advance on a daily basis. First-time participants should arrive 30 minutes in advance for enrollment purposes.

Yes. Daily Practice classes cost 3€ each, whereas Dance Classes for Adults have a cost of 10€ per class.

Yes. Accident insurance is valid for one year between September and July of the following year. It can be purchased at the time of registration and has a cost of 10€ per person.

Exhibitions and Presentations

Each event has different access criteria. In certain cases, registration may be required by filling out a form or sending an email, according to what is previously communicated through our digital media.

The EVC building has stairs and an elevator to all its three floors.

Only informal image or sound recordings using non-professional equipment are allowed.

There is a bar area inside the EVC building with a vending machine that serves hot drinks.

Artist Residencies

Artists and collectives working in the field of dance or in the intersection of different art forms, both at national and international levels.

A studio space for the artist residency. Artists will be assigned one of our three studios for up to two weeks, for projects in the creation or experimentation phase.

Applications should be submitted exclusively online by filling out the form available under “Applications” in the main menu of our website.

None, apart from the cost of accident insurance, which is required for all participants involved in performative activities.

  • Keep the studio in perfect condition and secure, in the same condition as you found it, and observe our rules of use;
  • Respect the technical and security conditions;
  • Provide a full list of the names of all those involved in the project, as well as a list of all the stage equipment to be used, if applicable;
  • Don’t use the studio assigned to you for any purpose other than its intended use;
  • Eating and drinking (except for water) is not allowed in the studio.

Basic equipment and materials are provided to ensure the smooth running of your residency, such as a sound system and speakers, internet access, or office supplies.

Your project (as an artist-in-residence project) may be promoted through our digital media, according to our schedule and to the norms stipulated by our communications team.
