Rita Ferreira began her professional training at the National Conservatory's Artistic Dance School (PT), completing the course in 2019. She subsequently graduated from PNSD Rosella Hightower - ‘Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Danse’ - and the University of Toulon - ‘Licence Professionnelle Technique on Image, parcours Intermédiaire’ (FR) (2020-2022). During this period, she had the opportunity to intern with companies such as Malandain Ballet (FR), Tanzcompany Innsbruck (AU), Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo (PT), Opéra National de Lyon (FR) and Ballet du Capitole (FR).
Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work as a performer with several national and international choreographers, such as Paulo Ribeiro, Ana Isabel Casquilho, Sebastian Eilers, Thierry Malandain, Carolyn Carlson, Michel Béjart, Christophe Maillot, among others. As a choreographer, Rita created “Quando vier a primavera” for the Cannes Jeune Ballet company and the solo “Piments Rouge”, presented at Scène 55 in Mougins (FR).
