The Afrontosas Collective is a cultural association that arose from meetings between black/racialised queer people connected to the worlds of art, education and celebration, motivated by the absence of projects that reflect on the importance of queer blackness in the diaspora in Portugal, in conjunction with migratory flows from Latin America, Africa and other regions.
One of Afrontosas' objectives is to foster, promote and disseminate the artistic and educational production of black/racialised artists in order to create intersectional spaces for debate and dialogue between cultural agents at national and international level.
The Collective operates in five areas: Art and Research; Hospitality and Ancestry; Consulting and Teaching; Culture and Celebration; and Lifestyle and Fashion Design.
Didi, Rod and Tony Omolu are the three people currently leading the Association's processes.
