Born in Mozambique, she studied dance in Lisbon, New York and Berlin. She has worked as a performer with renowned Portuguese choreographers. She co-founded the Jangada de Pedra association, which supports and promotes contemporary dance, and currently continues her work as a choreographer. She also teaches for organisations such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Belém Cultural Centre and the Higher School of Dance.
