On one side, a wall of people; on the other side, a wall of stones; somehow “between a rock and a hard place”, a stage. In this enchanted valley, a miniature performance, designed to fit large spaces. It is shaped like a fable, the result of an assemblage of various tales, some of love, others of war, travel tales, bestial tales. These are weapon-like tales that ensure their narrator’s survival, in a duel between imagination and a heart turned to stone. These are mourning tales that commemorate those who are absent, in a duel between life and death, prison and freedom, vice and virtue, reality and desire. In this stone-upon-stone and person-upon-person architecture, an imaginary mirror. A multiplying, projecting, alienating, enchanting artifact, which will turn the stage into an onion night after night. Layer upon layer, surrounded by scents and invisible sprinkles, the “teller’s mouth” exposes itself to both the rock and the hard place, contributing another tale to the endless store of tales.
