With a BA in dance from Escola Superior de Dança, Sol Garcia began her dance studies in the field of urban dances. She has been active as a performer since 2009, having taken part in creations by Victor Hugo Pontes, Benvindo Fonseca, Tiago Rodrigues, Hofesh Shechter, Olga Roriz, Companhia Erva Daninha, Nuno Preto, Albano Jerónimo, Joana Providência, Clara Andermatt, João Lucas, and Roberto Olivan. As a creator, she highlights the small-scale projects Vanilla?... Not! (2013), Femme Fatale (2014), Porque é que o céu é azul? (2016), Fille dans le vent (2017), and Paisagem (2017). Since 2014, she has been an instructor in the FAICC program (an advanced training program in performance and choreographic creation) at Companhia Instável. From 2015 to 2019, she directed the Dancenter company in Aveiro. In 2015, she won the 2nd edition of the television program Achas que sabes dançar?. In 2018, she completed her master's degree in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the University of Aveiro, and she collaborated as a movement assistant in Nuno M. Cardoso's piece LULU. in 2019, she worked as an instructor at LabInDança under the artistic coordination of Clara Andermatt. In 2023, she collaborated as a movement and performance assistant in Nós quem somos?, a creation by the Onda Amarela association. In 2024, she was part of the cast of Rodrigo Areias' film A pedra sonha dar flor, and she also joined iCoDaCo (International Contemporary Dance Collective).
