Paz Carvalho was born in Porto in 1998. She works in production and communication, mainly in the field of music. She was part of the Miso Music Portugal team. She currently works in production at MPMP Património Musical Vivo. She is also co-founder and executive producer of the Jazz na Vila festival in Azeitão, Setúbal.
In the meantime, she devotes herself to writing, dramaturgy and directing. She participated in the 2017/2018 Theatre Writing Laboratory at the D. Maria II National Theatre, which culminated in a collective publication, which includes her play Pode ser que um dia. In various training contexts, she had the opportunity to study with Isabel Barros, Rui Pina Coelho, Luís Vieira, Rute Ribeiro, and Catarina Firmo, among others.
She obtained a master's degree in Comparative Studies with the dissertation Espectralidade e Aparição em Vergílio Ferreira e Teixeira de Pascoaes: a imagem em “Para Sempre” e “São Paulo”, at the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. She taught at the same college between 2019 and 2021.
