Paz Carvalho was born in Porto in 1998. She works in production and communication, mainly in the field of music. She was part of the Miso Music Portugal team. She currently works in production at MPMP Património Musical Vivo. She is also co-founder and executive producer of the Jazz na Vila festival in Azeitão, Setúbal.
In the meantime, she devotes herself to writing, dramaturgy and directing. She participated in the 2017/2018 Theatre Writing Laboratory at the D. Maria II National Theatre, which culminated in a collective publication, which includes her play ‘Pode ser que um dia’ (Maybe one day). In various training contexts, she had the opportunity to study with Isabel Barros, Rui Pina Coelho, Luís Vieira, Rute Ribeiro, Catarina Firmo, among others.
She obtained a master's degree in Comparative Studies with the dissertation ‘Spectrality and Apparition in Vergílio Ferreira and Teixeira de Pascoaes: the image in “Para Sempre” and “São Paulo”’ from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She taught at the same institution between 2019 and 2021.
