Miriam Freitas holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication of the Performing Arts from PUC/SP (Brazil), a master’s degree in Performing Arts from UNL, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication and the Arts at FCSH/UNL and in Theatre at the Universidade Federal da Bahia. She co-founded and is a member of the Coletivo MÓ. She collaborated on the work Vastidão, by Gustavo Ciríaco. She co-created and performed in ADIANTE – Clown sem palavras. She has worked as an arts educator and director within the prison system in Lisbon. She works in theatre, performance and audiovisual media. Her training includes work with Yael Karavan, LUME Teatro, Hilary Chaplain, Joana Pupo, Kameron Steele, Francesca Della Monica and Naomi Silman, among others.
