Jill Crovisier is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist from Luxembourg who studied dance in Luxembourg, China, France, the United States, and Indonesia, among other countries. A professional dancer since 2007 and a choreographer, videographer, and sound designer since 2013, she is also trained in dance pedagogy.
Jill is passionate about exploring the intersections between choreographic writing, music and cultural exchange collaborations. Her work emphasises authenticity and realism, using dance and physical theatre to communicate stories about life and identity. Jill has participated in major choreography competitions and won the Luxembourg Dance Award in 2019, among others.
She has been collaborating for 20 years with different institutions, dance companies and universities around the world, while continuing to be an active freelance artist. Her involvement in therapeutic dance projects and creations contributes to expanding the potential of dance to a wider audience.
Her dance company JC movement production is funded by the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture.
