Francisco Couto (2000, Vila Nova de Gaia) began his dance training at the age of five at the Academia de Dança Giselle in Espinho, under the guidance of Conchita Ramirez, developing his skills in classical, contemporary and hip-hop dance. In 2015, he joined the Escola de Dança do Conservatório Nacional, in Lisbon. In 2017, he completed an internship the Companhia Nacional de Bailado, participating in rehearsals and performances. In 2018, he completed his training and began his professional career as a dancer with the Companhia Nacional de Bailado, where he remains to this day.
He has worked with national and international choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Mauro Bigonzetti, Marco da Silva Ferreira, Victor Hugo Pontes, Rui Lopes Graça, Hofesh Shechter, Miguel Ramalho, Clara Andermatt and Olga Roriz.
He supplemented his training with intensive courses in Gaga, Crystal Pite Repertoire and the Summer Intensive at the Nederlands Dans Theater. In 2025, he worked as a guest teacher and choreographer, with award-winning creations in national and international competitions.
