Assunta Chioze is a Mozambican dancer, performer and dance teacher, originally from Inhambane. She explores the body as a territory of memory, healing, belonging and resilience. Having graduated from the Instituto Superior das Artes e Cultura in 2016, she has been collaborating on various projects, notably with the American company Anikaya and Nelisiwe Xaba, as part of the KINANI festival, and with Janeth Mulapha and João dos Santos Martins. Since 2024, she has been a member of the Companhia de Artes Performativas. She is currently developing Corpo Migratório, a project that engages her as both a mother and an artist, challenging the boundaries between the intimate and the collective.
