Wording Dances presents a series of episodes, both in english and portuguese, where renowned artists from the international contemporary dance scene discuss matters which make of dancing and choreographing an inexhaustible terrain of experimentation, problematization and thinking.
In a co-production between Estúdios Victor Córdon and Parasita Association, it is curated by Carlos Manuel Oliveira.
In the eighth episode of the Wording Dances podcast, we invited Ivana Müller to read us a text written for this occasion, titled “Thoughts on Togetherness”.
Ivana is a choreographer, artist and writer. Through her choreographic and theatre work, she rethinks the politics of spectacle and the spectacular, revisits the place of the imaginary and imagination, questions the notion of “participation”, investigates the idea of value and its representation, and is continuously inspired by the relationship between performer and spectator. Besides her artistic practice, she curates artistic and discursive encounters and lectures in different contexts. She currently lives in Paris and works internationally.
The series is published in the following platforms:
Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Radio Public, Castbox e Soundcloud.
