Now in its 6th edition, the Territory program, aimed at young dancers between the ages of 14 and 18, invites choreographers of undeniable international relevance, giving several talented dance students the opportunity each year to work with and learn from renowned artists.
After premiering at the Teatro Nacional São João, in Porto, and performing at the Millennium Festival ao Largo, in Lisbon, the program's final show will be presented one last time in Leiria, at Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, thus closing Territory's sixth edition, marked by a great deal of dedication and creativity. In a unique occasion, the ten young dancers from all over Portugal will perform Sol León & Paul Lightfoot's emblematic piece Sad Case and Douglas Lee's new creation.
To go along with the presentation of the two pieces, the short film directed by Mário J. Negrão, who followed the dancers and choreographers during the creation phase at EVC, will be screened for the first time. The short film aims to show us the director's unique vision of the program, allowing us to get a glimpse of the learning and sharing process he witnessed.
