Now in its 6th edition, the Territory program, aimed at young dancers between the ages of 14 and 18, invites choreographers of undeniable international relevance, giving several talented dance students the opportunity each year to work with and learn from renowned artists.
This year, after its premiere at Teatro Nacional São João, the final show of the program will be staged in Largo de São Carlos, Lisbon, closing the Millennium Festival ao Largo program for the second year in a row. Over two nights, the ten young dancers from all over Portugal will perform Sol León & Paul Lightfoot's emblematic piece Sad Case and Douglas Lee's new creation.
To go along with the presentation of the two pieces, the short film directed by Mário J. Negrão, who followed the dancers and choreographers during the creation phase at EVC, will be screened for the first time. The short film aims to show us the director's unique vision of the program, allowing us to get a glimpse of the learning and sharing process he witnessed.
