Building on a series of collaborations we have maintained since 2020 with Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP), promoting the creation and circulation of artists, a new partnership with the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (FCG) will be launched in 2026.

Between 12 and 30 October 2026 at the Estúdios Victor Córdon, featuring five artists from Cape Verde and Mozambique: Djam Neguin, Nuno Barreto, Rosy Timas, Francisca Mirine and Pak Ndjamena, with artistic coordination by choreographer Marlene Monteiro Freitas.

Moderated by Rita Fabiana, CAM presents a discussion between choreographer Marlene Monteiro Freitas and the five artists, focusing on contemporary dance and their creative processes.

With the aim of highlighting and promoting the circulation of these artists’ work across Europe, the creative residency culminates in a presentation of results based on the work developed during this creative period, at the Estúdios Victor Córdon, in an event designed to facilitate exchange between the artists, programmers from national and international institutions and venues, and other players and cultural agents.
