_DE-DEOCHI_ aims to root the audience in dance and song, threading the soul back through the whispers of nature and tradition, wondering why dance came to be, and for what reason. Perhaps it was needed for healing an infant—a ritualistic offering to Muma Pădurii (mother of the forest) to show trust and seek health.

_DE-DEOCHI_ procura enraizar o público na dança e na canção, procura reconduzir a alma aos sussurros da natureza e da tradição, fazendo-a perguntar-se por que razão há dança, e para quê. Talvez ela tenha vindo a ser pela necessidade de curar uma criança, para mostrar confiança e pedir saúde numa oferenda ritual a Muma Pădurii (a mãe da floresta).

With the aim of supporting independent artistic creation, this program welcomes creators in the field of dance and other areas of artistic intersection, at national and international level, for a maximum period of two weeks.

Applications are accepted continuously and residencies are scheduled in our calendar on a first-come, first-served basis. Since their beginnings, the EVC have been a space where multiple languages coexist, responding in direct proportion to the needs of the artistic community.
