The “seven-legged dog” (“cão de sete patas”) appears in the dream of an iconic character in Brazilian cinema marginal. Sônia Silk, played by Helena Ignez in Rogério Sganzerla’s film Copacabana Mon Amour (1970), dreams of seven-legged dogs, animal-men and other monsters. “Cão de sete patas” is a interdisciplinary work that investigates the relationship between fiction and documentary, between dream and memory, between an actress and her character.
