Born in Praia, Cape Verde, he began his dance career in 1994 and has worked with Francisco Camacho, Vera Mantero, Clara Andermatt, Madalena Vitorino, Tamango, Margarida Mestre, Rui Nunes and Toni Tavares, among others.
In 2004, he joined the Raiz di Polon company.
In 2016, he founded a cultural association with the aim of teaching dance to children of all ages and thus integrating them socially, moving them away from indifferent trajectories.
He is currently living in Portugal, performing in the piece Cabral Corpo, directed by João Branco, staged by Sara Estrela, and with musical direction by Jeff Hessney.
Zeca Cardoso develops artistic projects and participates in creations by national and international choreographers.
