Maria Karla Araujo is a dancer, choreographer and mentor with over 15 years of international experience, specialising in classical ballet and contemporary dance. Trained in companies such as the Ballet Clásico de Camagüey and the Compañía de Danza MalPaso, she has collaborated with renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Merce Cunningham Trust, Aszure Barton and Ronald K. Brown, performing at major festivals and theatres in North America, Europe and Asia. Of particular note is her recent work at the Beijing Dance Academy, where she worked as a teacher and choreographer under the tutelage of Vladimir Malakhov, sharing the stage and creative processes with internationally renowned figures such as Benvindo Fonseca, Mauro de Candia and Abel Rojo. At the same time, she has developed a solid career in teaching and artistic direction at conservatories and companies, including coordinating the Classical Ballet Department at Dancespot Dance Conservatory. Her training includes certifications in progressive ballet and contemporary techniques, as well as several specialised courses that support her artistic and methodological approach.
