She studied dance, theatre, improvisation and dramaturgy at the Escola Superior de Dança, the Trisha Brown Dance Company, the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, and with the dramaturg André Lepecki.

Among her works, she highlights Íman, featuring young people from the Cova da Moura neighbourhood (Nu Kre Bai Na Bu Onda Project), and A Viagem, featuring folk dance groups. Filipa played performed in Gust, More and À Força, all by Francisco Camacho. She performed in Sílvia Real’s piece Um solo para dois intérpretes, was an assistant on her piece Tritone and stood in for the choreographer in the role of D. Domicília in Casio Tone (Teatro Municipal de Almada and Cine Teatro Torres Vedras). She danced with Miguel Pereira in works by several choreographers and, in turn, Miguel performed in her piece Transgarden.

She is the artistic director of the Mundo em Reboliço association.
