In this fourth episode of "Wording Dances", we are joined by British choreographer Jonathan Burrows, who reads us several of his texts written over the last few years.

Wording Dances presents a series of episodes, both in English and Portuguese, where renowned artists from the international contemporary dance scene discuss matters which make of dancing and choreographing an inexhaustible terrain of experimentation, problematization and thinking.

In a co-production between Estúdios Victor Córdon and Parasita Association, the project is curated by Carlos Manuel Oliveira.

In this new episode, we are joined by Jonathan Burrows for a reading of his texts Rhythmm, Traces and History, which he wrote in recent years and which were also compiled in a book published by Varamo Press in 2022, entitled Writing Dance. Jonathan Burrows' main focus is an ongoing body of pieces with the composer Matteo Fargion, with whom he continues to perform around the world. He is the author of A Choreographer's Handbook (Routledge 2010) and Writing Dance (Varamo 2022) and is currently an Associate Professor at the Centre for Dance Research, Coventry University.

The series is published in the following platforms:

Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Radio Public, Castbox Soundcloud e Amazon Music.
