This year, we will be welcoming at EVC the prestigious Belgian company Peeping Tom, founded by Gabriela Carrizo (Argentina) and Franck Chartier (France), which, through the leadership of Brandon Lagaert, will dedicate a week of intensive training to dance professionals.
The training is paid, but GDA offers scholarships, awarded in order of confirmation of registration. Registration is limited to a maximum of 30 participants. Personal accident insurance is compulsory.
About the instructor
Brandon Lagaert joined the Belgian company Peeping Tom in 2013 for the creation of Vader. He has also created Moeder, Kind, Dido & Aeneas and La Visita, and it was within the company that he developed his own style and became a multidisciplinary artist.
In his own work, Lagaert combines elements from different fields, such as urban and contemporary dance, theater and film. As a stage director, he often starts from the perspective of the performer to establish a baseline, before addressing the overall structure of the work. He currently does so with his company, KAIHO, with which he created the award-winning pieces Subdued and Mondo Fuso.
